In 2011 Lena Kravets and Tobias Kassung established their duo in the Cologne Classical Ensemble. With the rare combination of cello and guitar, they develop very individual programs and inspire audiences in numerous concerts across Germany.

In  2017 their highly acclaimed album “Lieder, Songs & Canciones” was released by KSG Exaudio with a very personal homage to songs. Russian romances and German, romantic lieder by Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms are combined with spirited Spanish canciones and jazz songs.

2023 will see the release of their latest album "La lumière du sud" (The Light of the South), also on KSG Exaudio. Detailed information here.

The new program “La lumière du sud” (The Light of the South) is particularly dedicated to the impressionist masters of French and Spanish music. Composers like Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz and Mathias Duplessy conjure up Mediterranean landscapes in music. In the arrangements of the duo, these soundscapes unfold their full charm and cello and guitar merge into an impressive whole. In addition to the “Siete Canciones populares Espanolas” by Manuel de Falla, works by Gabriel Fauré and Isaac Albéniz are on the program. As well as the gorgeous, virtuoso flamenco composition by Mathias Duplesy and Tobias Kassung's own “Capriccio à la lumière du sud” - a homage to tango and the light of the south.
