Viola

Born in 1981 in Mogiliow (Belarus), Aliaxandr Senazhenski started lessons on the violin at the age of seven as a pupil of Ludmila Osipowa and Igor Deschko.

In 1996 he started studying viola at the National College of Music in Minsk with Prof. Lastowka. During this period this outstanding prodigy received wide recognition, performing as a soloist with the National Chamber Orchestra of Minsk and winning several prizes, including third prize at the international competition of Gomel in 1998.

In 2000 Aliaxandr Senazhenski became a student of Prof. Thomas Selditz at the "Musikhochschule Hannover" where he successfully obtained his degree in Artistic Instrumental Study in 2005. Besides numerous solo recitals and regular orchestral work with the Hanover Radio Symphony Orchestra (NDR), he plays in chamber ensembles throughout many European countries. After two years of principal violist of the "Essener Philharmoniker" he is now violist with the "Bochumer Symphoniker".

Aliaxandr Senazhenski is also a passionate chamber musician. He has been member of the Cologne Classical Ensemble since its foundation in 2003 and is now mainly the alto of the Arisva Quartet.
