For the twelfth time, “The Magic of the Guitar” is set to take place at Halle32 in Gummersbach. This time, the cello-guitar duo featuring Lena Kravets and Tobias Kassung will perform, alongside Luciano Marziali as a soloist, who will once again serve as artistic director of this major guitar event.
With their rare combination of cello and guitar, Lena Kravets and Tobias Kassung are captivating audiences across Germany. Their latest programme, featuring works by composers including Ludwig van Beethoven and Raffaele Bellafronte, revolves around the theme ‘Between Dream and Tango’ and enchantingly blends dreamy adagios with the exuberant music of big-city nightlife.
Luciano Marziali has been involved with “The Magic of the Guitar” from the very beginning, both as a performer and as artistic director. This master guitarist from Italy has stood out for many years with his exceptional and entertaining programmes of the highest calibre. On this occasion, he will present Latin American guitar music, featuring works by the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and the Mexican Manuel María Ponce.
