FRECHEN: Astor Trio

Tickets
Kulturkirche Alt St. Ulrich, Ulrichstraße 110, 50226 Frechen

The programme in Frechen covers a wide range, from Johann Sebastian Bach to rousing tango compositions by Astor Piazzolla, famous Broadway melodies from George Gershwin's ‘Porgy & Bess’ and finally virtuoso Spanish sounds by Pablo de Sarasate. Another special feature will be the two Buenos Aires Fantasies by Tobias Kassung, which tie the programme together like a bracket and wonderfully showcase the skills of the three exceptional musicians.

The three musicians of the Astor Trio have achieved the rare feat of establishing a completely new and unusual chamber music ensemble in classical music, thrilling audiences and critics alike. The Astor Trio brings together violin, guitar and double bass. Alexander Prushinskiy, violinist and first concertmaster of the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, has joined forces with guitarist Tobias Kassung and Stanislav Anischenko, principal bassist of the WDR Symphony Orchestra, to form this rare combination.

With their extraordinary programmes and breathtaking virtuosity, the three musicians of the Astor Trio playfully combine the styles of classical, tango, jazz and Spanish music, opening up new horizons for classical music.
